cancellation policy
Due to last-minute cancellations, our other patients miss out on appointments, so we respectfully request 24 hours notice for any changes or rescheduling of appointments. If you have a longer appointment (over 60 minutes), we request at least 48 hours notice prior to your appointment.

If patients fail to attend, arrive too late to conduct treatment or cancel within the required notice period without a valid reason, at the practice manager’s discretion, a $50 per 30 min appointment scheduled cancellation fee will be charged.

If after one failure to attend (FTA), reschedule or cancel with less than 24 hours' notice without a valid reason, when rescheduling a required appointment holding fee of $50 will be taken. When the appointment is attended, this holding fee will be taken off the cost of treatment or refunded where treatment does not cost up to $50.

Gentle Care Dentistry also reserves the right to charge the cost of treatment upfront before making another appointment. This will only be enacted if there have been several cancellations and will be used as a last resort.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, which may result in cancelling or missing an appointment. A charge may be assessed for multiple missed, short notice or cancelled appointments.
